The last week back home we visited DC with my sister. The last time we went, it was extremely hot and it seemed appropriate that we'd go back and have it be extremely cold. One of these days we'll get it right. Till then, here are some pics from the trip-
And seriously, forget taking Greyhound from NYC to DC, or worse.. the Chinatown bus. There are two really cool new options. One is Bolt, but we took Megabus (if you're in the UK, you can find them here, and Canada here). For $15 we took the bus to DC from New York (one way). They're fully equipped with free wi-fi, plus sockets for computers, etc., and the real selling point... it's a double decker! They do multiple routes daily to DC, Philadephia, and Boston from New York.
Ok, that's my little plug, now back to the blog.
The rest of the week we spent saying our goodbyes, and doing last runs to the supermarkets for American goodies to bring back. Sadly, we have no plans yet to return to the United States (for vacation), but rather (hopefully) moving back sometime in the next year. And while it's been bitter sweet to be back in Italy, the thought that this might be our last year here has made us more appreciative of this little thing we're doing abroad.
So far, 2010 has had a good start!
