Fare La Spesa Al Mercatino Biologico
Number 64 on the list of things to do is shopping at the farmers market here in Bologna. Every Saturday morning for a few hours, all the local farmers gather in the little piazza behind the Cinema Lumière to participate in the Slow Food Earth Market: From the Earth to the Table.

And for those in New York City, Eataly (Turin's famous indoor farmers market) will be opening up a giant market this summer with 80% of the products being imported directly from Italy!
According to the release:
"Giant foodie mega-market Eataly has its first piece of signage up at 200 Fifth Ave. The 60,000 square foot space will contain all kinds of retail plus a wood-fired pizza and pasta bar, a cheese and salami counter, a steak restaurant, a vegetarian restaurant, a wine shop, a bakery, a crudo and seafood bar, and a classic Italian bar serving gelato, espresso, and wine. On the roof will be a 4,500 square foot open-air rooftop beer garden serving pizza and sausages."
Buon Appetito!
