After nearly 24 hours of travel, the first snow fall of the season in Bologna (leading to a three hour delay on the tarmac), one missed flight, four countries, seven languages and a partridge in a pear tree, we've finally arrived home to New York! I must say, as hard as it was to make it here, waking up to see the skyline of the city makes it all worth it.
We're both eagerly waiting for jet lag to pass, and tomorrow we're heading into the city to visit all the friends we had to sadly leave when we moved overseas. We have so much to do, so much food other than Italian food to eat, and so much to look forward to that we can't wait!
Already as I blog, RAI is on the TV in the background (more so for Mamma Pacheco to make sure I don't forget all my Italian). Not too far away from the other world we just left, and back home in another.
