Books, Books, Books..And A Trip To The Library!

After completing my summer reading list quicker than I had imagined this past summer, I was left early on looking for some good new books to read. I think because we were so busy, I didn't mind not having a good book to curl up with. But now that it's starting to get cold, and my bus commute is long and uninviting, my search has begun. In America, I'd just buy the books I wanted off amazon.com (and spend like 1.25 per book) but considering that I can only go home twice a year and there are luggage restrictions, I have to limit myself.

Thankfully there is an English bookstore here in Bologna, and while it's amazing, it's also expensive. Why Italy hasn't caught up to cheap online shopping, beats me. So, I need to narrow down my list till I can go home for the holidays. Thankfully (again) A Cup of Jo had the same problem, so I took the opportunity to hunt down some good suggested reads.

Here is what's on my radar:
Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen
My Life In France by Julia Childs and with that Julie and Julia
Saturday Nights by Susan Orlean
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

What are you reading?

I also finally got a library card, so I'm feeling very "Bolognese." Although, I don't think I've had a library card since the age of 11; I'm feeling very economical. It has a great selection of Italian language books that I've been checking out to study the grammar. Now, if only there was an English book section...

I've read Julie & Julia, have the Julia Childs book along with Jacques Pepin biography along with MFK Fisher's The Art of Eating.

I need to get a library card, if for not economical reasons for storage reasons. I don't know why, but I can never seem to part with a book.
