Un jour à Paris

The week long travel schedule only allowed for a day and a half in Paris. A part of me wishes we could have stayed longer, the part of me that didn't see the massive crowds that overtake the city in the summer. The first night we arrived, we went straight to dinner and then directly to Laduree (first of many trips there) for some delish macaroons and ate next to the Eiffel Tower.

The next day we ventured to Versailles , the former home of Louis XIV to walk around and see the beautiful gardens. We got up early and went about a half hour outside of Paris to spend the morning there.

After spending the morning at Versailles, we went back into Paris and decided to have a picnic underneath the Eiffel Tower. After stopping at all the different markets, we grabbed a spot and relaxed the rest of the afternoon enjoying the warm weather.

For dinner (everything revolves around food! I've been living in Italy too long) Whitney took us to one of her favorite places she used to go to when she lived in Paris. Right off the area around Notre Dame, is a little whole-in-the-wall restaurant (whose name I can't for the life of me remember) where we had Raquelette (my new favorite thing) So easy and so good!

Yum!

Absolutely delish!

The next morning we had a few hours before we had to head to the airport so we went and had another round at Laduree and hit up Fauchon for some Parisian goodies to bring back to Italy. A few best of the rest...

Sounds like a great day and a half - plus it looks like you had amazing weather from the pics.

Very cool! You did everything I would have recommended in "my" beautiful city (Macarons, Raclette, Picnic...). Glad you had a good time!

@Emily Marie- Paris is an amazing city, if not just for the macaroons alone ;)

Looks like you had fun!
The Eiffel Tower is my favourite spot to picnic.
I'm so jealous that y'all went to Ladouree, I've wanted to try their macaroons forever.
