We're back in the land of wireless internet! (Finally!)
The past month has been a whirlwind of travels starting with me meeting my sister up in London. After getting settled at the hotel, we kicked off the weekend meeting up with some of our New York friends living in London, for an Indian feast down on Brick Lane, and a little hopping around the various establishments after.
We only had about a day and half in London before leaving for Paris, so Sunday morning we wandered around the city. That afternoon, we went for afternoon Pret-a-portea at The Knightsbridge Berkeley hotel. It was the prefect afternoon, a little chilly and rainy outside, warm and cozy inside...even if it was the end of July.
After tea, we hurried back to the hotel and got bundled up and headed to Nicole's (and my) favorite place for dinner, Wagamama's. Wagamama's is seriously one of the best places to eat in London (according to us) and rumor has it, they'll be opening up in New York City soon!
Following dinner we walked down to the Tower Bridge to take in the view at night. Even at night, the city still takes your breath away. No crowds, no tours, just you and the sites.
The next morning we packed up and headed down to Kings Cross station to catch the Eurostar to Paris. Thanks somehow to Rail Europe, Whitney and I both got first class seats cheaper than second class with Nicole. A little bottle of wine really does make a 2 hour trip better.

Found your blog recently (in my search for all things Italian-- relocating soon) and have enjoyed reading about your adventures. But the news that a Wagamama is supposedly opening in New York just MADE MY DAY!! If only they would open one in Paris in the meantime... :)
Ahh it looks like you had such a fabulous time! I've never been to London, but it seems so chic and classic that I'm just dying to go! That tea is so beautiful, it would definitely be the perfect English afternoon with girlfriends!
@ Stacy- Wagamama's is the greatest place ever! I hope one day it makes it way to Italy!
@Life Abroad- I highly recommend the tea! It's a perfect way to spend a rainy London afternoon!
