Best Of Bologna

Part One- Caffe`!

In college, I spent hours at the local Barnes and Noble in Long Beach studying. Not just for the comfy sofas and the exuberant amount of caffeine being offered inside, but also because it was a warm and inviting place where you wanted to hang out. Our library on campus was old, dusty, boring and very few people went there. Maybe now things have changed back home. Maybe the reputation of a library (in general) isn't of this old, dusty place where nobody goes anymore, but rather a hip, happenin' hangout.

Then again, maybe not.

In Bologna, a great place for breakfast is in the library, Sala Borsa. Right in the heart of Piazza Maggiore, you can sit inside the renaissance building and drink an espresso or two... or three, nosh on a cream-filled brioche while you log countless hours on the free wireless and flip through ancient Italian literature.

You may remember back in November, we went to watch the US elections live. The library holds a variety of events throughout the year from art exhibits to music shows. A definite must-see.

Tomorrow we're going to try a new breakfast spot. A cafe inside a Chocolate store. I don't know why, but I have a feeling it's probably going to be good.
