We started to map out everything that we needed to do in order to make it a smooth transition, although as the to-do list keeps piling up, I think that it will be anything but smooth. Oh, and trying to plan a wedding in between, because moving to Italy wasn't easy enough.
Our to-do list to date:
• Make a budget (because we are crazy for leaving in May when the Euro is scheduled to increase against the dollar)
• Schedule meetings for the consulate in January
• CV/Cover Letters/Letters of Recommendations completed (I'm done! GC's lagging)
• Get passport photos to include in with the CV
• Research on the following:
*Headhunters
*Work visa information
* Storage/moving checklist
* Storage prices in New Jersey
* Research International shipping companies/charges
• Get copies of birth certificate for marriage license
• Plus get everything translated in Italian and certified
• Get set up with an international bank
• Book flights (eeek!)
• Do change of address from post office (all I need is to get a jury summons)
and the other 102 things that I know I am forgetting to do!
